Yesterday, on 11/11, NCT Dream coming back with their 4th Album called “Dreamscape”. This album is a continuous of their latest mini album, “Dream()scape”. I am so excited and having a big expectations because the members are all so excited for this one. Also, Renjun comeback from his hiatus since April this year. So, this album is kind of special for all of us, both fans and the artist.
Let’s talk about the song first because to be honest, the song saves this album so much. Dream never released a bad song ‘till today. This is sound so bias but most of their song is listenable. Even though you are not a fans of them, you can still enjoy their song.
- Intro : Dreamscape
This intro is so fun. When i listen to this track, i can feel as we are in a new world already. If i can describe this song with color, it is pink, blue, and light purple. But i am so sad that they don’t use this song for promotion the same way as dream()scape intro. As a said, this song really gives a good vibes with their concept theme. So sad for it not gonna lie. Actually, they released a teaser for this comeback theme and at first, i though that is going to be their intro. I listen to the video again and it is really different from this track. BUT, yeah, I enjoy this intro so much! I hear that the one who make this track is also make “Breathing”. It feels biased but i am in love with them already. Breathing is my fav track from their latest album hehe.
2. When I’m With You
An electronic pop song. Something that Dream never try before. It feels clean and new. I do not know how to describe why i said this song feels clean…… That word just popped out in my brain when i hear this song. The chorus give me a 2010’s electronic song vibes. Something that i would love when i was in Junior High School too. I enjoy this track though. Love the lyrics the most hahaha. Also their MV is super beautiful! They really work with a good team for this one! Really a great upgrade! Bridge part full of main vocalist slaying their vocal. Always love that kind of bridge. Thanks for your good voice, RenHaeLe. The minus from the MV is i barely saw Renjun. This is kinda biased again but i just hope we get more shoot of him. Other than that, this track and the MV is a good one. Their outfit and their makeup is so gorg! love ittttt!
3. Flying Kiss
This is their pre-released song. They only upload the MV though. I love the color palette of Flying Kiss MV. Super gorgeous. It gives Barbie’s vibes. Full of pink, purple, blue, light green, and others light color. The MV just match with what Dreamies want to give us. For the song, i enjoy this track too especially Haechan contributed as the lyricist. The chorus is fun. So many people talk about this part. I love the lyrics the most. Rapper line also gets to sing in this song. So happy to know that. Also this song is super romantic hahaha. I barely hear and saw Renjun too in this but it is what it is i guess. So, in short, this song and the mv is fun!
4. I Hate Fruits
My top 3 track from this album. God, this track is so beautiful. The intro starts with a sound of guitar. It is so BEAUTIFUL. I actually already fall in love with this track since they dropped the highlight medley. Mark participated for this song. His voice also dominating this track. In love with that fact though. I am a Mark bias too so i love it HAHAHA. I hope they will sing this song for promotion. In my opinion, this is a song that will match with general listener’s taste. So, because neo center barely promote this album, i hope with I Hate Fruits, more people want to tuned in and get curious with Dreamscape. By the way, this song is so romantic too hahaha. Mark said that “I hate fruits because i like you and you are so sweet”.
5. No Escape
Wah, this song should be in Dream()scape instead. This one is TOO strong for just being a bside. Compared to smoothie, no escape is more match with dream()scape theme. Dang, ‘till now, i still don’t get the idea of Smoothie….. I enjoy this track too. At first i feel awkward (because my own reason and i don’t want to share it hahaha) but this track is still a good song. I guess they will performed this track for The Dream Show 3 Encore. Can’t wait, then. But, God, this should be dream()scape title track:((
6. Best of Me
The intro kind of give me The Weeknd vibes haha. At first (again), i don’t get this song the way people do. But the third time i listened to this track, i FALL in love. This track is also a strong song like no escape. I just read the english translation for this song and it matches their theme. WOW. I hope they performed this for encore too. By the way, Chenle’s high note is amazing. Chenle, you are a superstar.
7. YOU
MY NUMBER ONE FAVORITE. OMG. THEY SHOULD PROMOTE THIS SONG ALONG WITH WHEN I’M WITH YOU. The instrument. God. I love it so BAD. The chorus is so good. This song gives me a healing sound. I do think Dream never try this kind of song too, right. It’s a fresh song too. God, I love it since i first listened. They kind of change the instrument for the middle part of song (or bridge part hahaha). This song kinda experimental in a good way. This one deserves to be on Encore show too. This song is too good to not getting a good spotlight.
8. Heavenly
Heavenly sound so Heavenly. Haha. The chorus is cute. I know this song will sounds good when i heard the highlight medley though. But, you know, when i hear this song, i get a feeling like you hear this song in your most happiness moment of your life. like, it gives me that vibes. I will listen to this song when i do my thesis defense! it gives me strenght hahahaha.
9. Night Poem
Guess this is the only song that so Renjunfull. Beside that, this song is super fab. Jaemin and Mark part is so cute!! AHHH i am so falling in love with this song so i don’t know what words should i use to describe this track. I am going to try to listen this track while do my midnight driving with my sister. This is romantic song too but not giving too much romantic at the same time. Dang. I am really a bad writer hahaha.
10. Off the Wall
SO ONE DIRECTION CODED. This is so them. Gives me so much flashback when i hear this track. It’s going to be fun if they make a compilation video of them with this song as the background. It’s so short but i love this song. Me in JHS also would love this track so much.
Beside the song and the MV, there’s no much thing that i love from dreamscape. But i do appreciate for their website. It’s amazing. How the website will turn into blue color when you do double click. They also has a camera feature and we can put some sticker to it. The minus is sometimes the website got lag….. When they upload their highlight into this website, dangz, everyone on X literally getting confused because that website is just not user friendly….. I took about 5 minutes to figured it out how to hear the highlight medley. The worst part is they don’t upload the highlight medley on Youtube :) It’s kind of a wrong move if i could say. Because the engagement of the post is really LOW. You need to be a super fans to spend your time open the website and listen to the medley. None would do that if they are not fans FANS.
At first, i read it as “Dreamscare” instead of “Dreamscape” :’D
Teaser
For the teaser, i kinda got confused when i saw all of their teaser. But, When I’m With You and Flying Kiss image teaser is so beautiful. That teaser really boost my mood to look up for their comeback so bad. I am going to talk about the least fav teaser from this era first. Save the best for the last ya!~
The theme is Construct teaser i guess. I actually love the color palette. Jaemin Renjun Jisung with denim, Mark with lilac, Jeno and Chenle with brown (and creme i guess), and Haechan with green. I love the tone. But compared to other teaser from this era, this photoshoot is so basic. The makeup for some member is okay, even thought it can be better, but that’s fine. This is not their look for MV so it’s fine.
I do love their makeup for this teaser. Also the styling really striking. I guess almost all the member use contact lenses. Haechan’s makeup is the best one. The blush, The freakless, and The lip’s color is so beautiful. i do love Renjun’s eyebrow too. I finally can witness their MUA draw a good eyebrow for him (finally). He makes me remember about Red Velvet Wendy from Psycho (The Reve Festival Finale) era. My fav styling is the Jeno one. It’s beautiful. The leather jacket, the sunglasses, and his two-tone hair is everything.
The most interesting part from this teaser are the property they use are the same one from dream()scape teaser. Chenle with fruits, Renjun with car and flower, Haechan with book, Jaemin with drinks, Jisung with cake, Jeno with bread (or pastry), and Mark with Ipod and headpod. Very genius!
Btw, i don’t like this teaser effect. Kinda hurt my eyes. It’s just too much. Too much brightness too.
MV Teaser
I give MV teaser a different section because their MV teaser is GODLY GOOD. For Flying Kiss, they have two types of MV. OMG, it is THAT pretty. When i saw this on my timeline, i was like “dang. This is THE teaser.”
The background’s color is scream DREAMPOP. Blue and baby blue, light purple, pink, and dark green is so matchy match. I wanna kiss whoever comes out with this one. Like, gurl, you guys are cool. Their fit also has a same color (even thought it has a slight difference) but it still coherent. This teaser is what i was think about when the members said that they will comeback with a fresh song.
Their 2nd teaser from Flying Kiss basically just a shoot from MV scene. It still pretty tho. God, I love Flying Kiss MV and Teaser so much. So beautiful huaaa. Renjun and Jisung has a long hair in here. Blonde Renjun, you will always be that GURL. From this teaser, Jisung and Renjun is my favo haha and ofc it is because of their hair really stand up.
Now, we will talk about When I’m With You Teaser. God. This one is also pretty. Like, i left my sighs when i saw it. I don’t have any expectations for this MV (surely) because i am just afraid haha. But, Thank God, they come out with a great teaser and MV. Love to all the team who contributed and also the members itself. The makeup is 10/10. The outfit is also 10/10. Mark teaser gagged me tho. He is…. so…. handsome…… Mark, i… love… you…
But, guys, you need to see Jisung’s blush. I think it has the same type of makeup like the one Haechan get for their 2nd teaser. But it’s pretty. I would love to see other member got this kind of makeup for another event. I love to see that this time, the member use another good-popular-high-end-brand. When i saw Chenle with Miumiu jacket for their 2nd teaser and now Jeno with Miumiu vest… i am happy…. it’s been a long time though.. The last time i saw all member using popular brand for comeback is for Glitch Mode (they all use Louis Vuitton items). But, For this year Summer Sonic, all member use Diesel’s item too. Can i hope Diesel will work with 7Dream again for another event? (pretty please. Diesel, i love you so much so pleaseee).
They have 2 teaser too. This teaser use for SMini cover. The second one is more basic than the first one but it’s still pretty. It gagged me too because they use sparkling fit with a glassy clear kind of makeup. So pretty. I am still try to find the photographer for this teaser because I LOVE IT SO MUCH. They use blue background. In pantone, it called Blue Dream. Truly. You can check it up by yourself. This color reminds me so much with The Dream Show era. At that time, Mark already left the group. I bought the TDS Photobook, and they use this color. So pretty. So in brand too.
Group Photo Teaser
I’m only gonna talk about one teaser that comes out from When I’m With You teaser image. This teaser gives me We Go Up vibes so much. huhuu, i love outdoor photoshoot too. This photo radiates youthful energy too. So dream coded. I want this photo as a poster so i can hanging in on my bedroom’s wall. Their outfit is also 10/10. Haechan Adidas is alsooo gagged me. Finally, i can see Haechan with Adidas items again.
Content
Actually, that’s all their teaser…. Other teaser are made for the MV. I kinda shocked when i know we only get 2 types of teaser. I mean, it’s a full album. So sad though. Instead of getting more teaser, we got a random youtube content that i don’t know the correlation of it with the comeback. It is still a genius content, but for me, instead of only giving us that content, their team needs to come out with other thing too. Because the content only have 5 minutes length. They can post some random photo from the videoshoot of that content though. At least we get something that can hyped their social media account. Another minus thing from their team (not the member), they don’t upload it on TikTok. Geez, people on TikTok love that kind of content. They need promote it on that app. It can boost their name and Dream’s Youtube engagement.
By the way, the content is fun, i always wait for them to upload it. My competitive side really want to get a good ending for all of their story. Go try it! (I only got good ending for Jeno, Jaemin, and Jisung’s episode at the first try).
Album Design
We gonna talk about album version in brief i guess .SMini really got my eyes when they dropped album details last week. The color is so pretty and the photoshoot also. The inclusion is just a basic SMini. We got one PC, Qr code, and the SMini itself.
Dreamini is cute but is just the same like their previous one so it’s not a wow thing. But, thanks to Haechan for come out with an idea of making a Dreamini. It just, why they only change the color…. I thought they will give more detail for the case. I mean, this is a colorfull comeback so there are a lot of things that they can use for it. But the inclusion is kinda interesting. So, we gonna get a random pin (like a jibbitz for Crocs) of member if you buy the Dreamini one. But, the capitalist thing in here is you can put that pin if you buy the construct version one. like, dang. The inclusion other than pins we get for this comeback is pc, thanks to poster, sticker, and 7dream pc.
So, talking about the Construct version. This one is kind of interesting though. I could said that is it is unique. You can put pins from Dreamini version to this version cover. You will got nct dream pins too if you buy this version. The inclusion is kind of nah…. You got folded poster, pins, and custom ruler only…. a RULER….. dang… hahaha
Another version is Fertical Vlip. It has 7 different cover. You can choose your bias cover. We got 2 mini CD (like the one we got from Candy special version and Dreamini). But the inclusion is only sticker, photocard, and photobook. So sad. But, this is kinda interesting because they never released this kind of album before.
They also comes with Dreamscape version. It reminds me of aespa Armageddon spiral photobook one. But this version is kinda different with them. Omg, idk how words i can use to describe this version. So, in short, every page has 2 kind of photoshoot. So those pages divided into 2 parts. The inclusion is also so-so but it’s better than the vertical one. We got sticker, photocard, group photocard, and postcard.
SM’s basic album a.k.a. the magazine style one. For this comeback it called Real City version. but, i kinda love the inclusion for this version. We got a random folded poster with a great photoshoot in it, photocard, random polaroid, thanks to poster, and envelope. I might buy this version too. Oh, also, their CD use their photoshoot in it. The inclusion for this version is top tier. Other than that, it’s so-so.
Among all the version, the Smini, Dreamini, and Real City version is so interesting. But, i can said that it really downgrade compared to their last full album’s album desing, ISTJ. ISTJ has a lot of various version with a lot of different photoshoot. As you can see, every version has the same photoshoot except SMini one. Their album design is not match too with this album’s track. I don’t get any correlation for it. I never protest when they released Candy album with a lot of version with the same photoshoot. At that time, Candy is only a special Christmas album. But, this time, Dreamscape is a full album. So, it’s kinda sad. It’s sad but i’m still buy the album anyway.

At the end of the day, their music is gonna be the most important thing. So, this album is a YES for me. DREAMPOP never goes wrong. Hope their design team and marketing do much better for their next comeback. Btw my top 5 song is YOU, Night Poem, Heavenly, I Hate Fruits, and Best of Me.
This is the longest post i ever did. There just so much things to say so here i am haha. I am very proud of Dreamies especially to Renjun. Now, they are in the middle of Europe tour. They literally got no proper rest. I really appreciate them. They did their best and we all know it. One thing for sure, their music healed a lot of people. So i hope dreamies only gonna hear good thing only for this comeback. If their any critics, i hope they do it for the agency or neo center instead. They are the one who managed this comeback and all of dream’s event. So, do it to the right one, guys.
I’m still waiting for their promotion, i can’t give any comments about it now. so yeah! I hope this era will gives a lot of good thing for both fans and members!~ Gonna spend Christmas listen to dreamscape!
