It’s pronounced as “dream escape”. It is NCT Dream 5th Mini Album that just released this Monday on March 25th 2024. NCT Dream show their different side with a new colour and theme for this comeback. They first released their teaser on March 6th and that teaser taken by a famous photographer named Cho Giseok. He’s been work with some of various group and finally NCT Dream got a chance to work with him. This teaser called “icantfeelanything” and this title is also going to be their first track for this album.
this teaser make me falling in loveeee with the concept. the best one from them if i could say. After releasing that teaser, they comes out with a Video and they gave us 5 chapter and in each chapter, they also give us the sneak peak of their bside track. This is really the right choice to give us the sneak peak tho. We can enjoy their acting and their theory but at the same time, we can listen to their songs too. Give applause to the team and NCT Dream itself! (especially Renjun hahaha ❤)
Chapter 1 played by Jisung with “Realize” as the title. In this chapter, they gave us their first track sneak peak where the first track is “icantfeelanything”. This is really a great song that i first thought about “how if we make this as their title track instead.” The reason is because this song is really match with the concept they made for their first teaser. When i listen to this song, i really fall in love with this antidrop reff. It feels new and this song also can be use for an OST though.
Chapter 2 played by Jeno and Renjun and they gave us a sneak peak of “Breathing”. This chapter title is “Confused.” This is my number one favorite. NCT Dream always have that one slow music in their album and it never failed. We got so many of slow-good song from them such as Rainbow, Dear Dream, and Never Goodbye. The plus for this song is comes from the lyrics and the music lenght. I do not know why these days, Kpop song obsessed with 2-minutes-long song and it is bothered me so much. I hate it hahaha. BUT, Breathing comes with 4-minutes-long music. i LOVE it. Thank you for all the people who made this song. Also, the vocal line really nailed it. I love you @ Haechan Renjun and Chenle.
Chapter 3 played by Haechan and Mark. This chapter showed us for “Unknown.” This chapter title is “Change.” Dangz, this is my second favourite. I love the lyrics too. This song give the listener a strenght to chase our dream. It written in the reff part “Don’t change, Let go, Be brave, Be strong, But take it easy, no rush I know you got it”. The good news is this songs is going to be their couple song, so they will performed along with Smoothie, their title track. This song radiates Dream Vibes too:( Imiss you, Dream Vibes song.
Chapter 4 played by Jaemin and Chenle and they showed us for “Box.” This chapter title is “Break.” If i can be honest, this is my favorite video. I love the story though. The idea of making Chenle and Jaemin fight each other while “Box” playing in the background is so beautiful hahahaha. Also the shoot is pretty tho. I love Box too, but i do not know how to described it….. it just beautiful and i think it’s gonna match NCT Dream next tour as one of song in their setlist.
Chapter 5 Played by all of them hahaha. this chapter contained 7Dream and they gave us the sneak peak of “Carat Cake.” The title for this chapter is “Dream Beyond.” ACTUALLY, i kinda nervous when i hear this song. It’s kinda sound awkward in the teaser, but when i heard the full version, IT IS GREAT. It’s a fun song!
Now, we are going to talk about their title track. This title track also has a completely new teaser that is really different with icantfeelanything. They even recreated their “Chewing Gum” teaser. It’s really cute thoo.
to be honest (again), this teaser kind of shocked me. I mean we go from icantfeelanything to this kind of teaser. like, my imagination about the comeback is change for 180°. But i guess after this i need to familiarize myself with this new side of Dream. It’s still good and i am still falling in love with everything they gave (favoritism behavior of me).
for this teaser, i love Jisung and Mark teaser the most. Jisung’s orange hair really match with him also with the set of their teaser. I thought they will keep his orange hair for a longg time or at least for the promo but here we are, hahah jisung already got his black hair. For Mark, damn, you guys need to see all his 4-pic-teaser from NCT Dream social media. he NAILED it. All his teaser feels like it just comes out from a fashion magazine photoshoot hahaha.
They also gave us a short video for Smoothie. Every member got one and you can checked it on their youtube channel. NOW, moving on to their song. I still got no idea about their song when i heard for the first time. I think it is because of this songs is more like a rapp-song. But at the second listen, i got it hahaha. It’s still better than their previous song but i like ISTJ bridge more than Smoothie bridge. ISTJ brige is a HEAVEN. I know most people will agree to my statement.
As i said, i still need to familiarize myself with this side of NCT Dream. I mean, they still can show us their mature side but with Dream Vibes though. Thanks to Mark Lee, they keep Unknown for the couple song so we can still get the Dream Vibes in this comeback. But i am still confused though, hahaha, whyyy those beautiful icanfeelanything teaser released for nothing. For me, if it is become their MV theme, their gonna nailed it. believe me. HAHA.
